| The AuSable River is one of Michigan's Wild and Scenic rivers. It provides excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, tubing, rafting and wildlife viewing. The river from Grayling to Oscoda is all wilderness with primitive camping along the river. We offer trips ranging from 2-1/2 hours to 7 days. With an average depth of one to three feet and four to six mile per hour current, the river is great for young and old alike. Join us for a great vacation experience. |

| Our most popular trip is 8 miles of primitive wilderness, designated as a wild and scenic stretch of the AuSable River. Early in the morning you are likely to see deer, mink, beaver, eagles, and all types of ducks. Call us to reserve a trip on the most beautiful stretch of the AuSable River. |

We are a drug free campground.
While canoeing, rafting, tubing, kayaking or boating with Alcona Canoe Rental, these rules apply: - Do not operate a watercraft while intoxicated, it is illegal and dangerous.
- River hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., be sure to plan your trip accordingly. Overnight trips due back by 4 p.m.
- All items must be secured in watercraft. Rope and trash bags are available at the camp store.
- For environmental reasons, Styrofoam® coolers, glass bottles, paint balls and balloons are not allowed on the river.
- Towing inner tubes behind canoes or rafts is not allowed.

| VEHICLE PARKING |  | During peak summer weekends bus transportation will be furnished to pick you up and return you to the Alcona Canoe | | Campground and Rental. During off-peak a $5 per day Federal parking fee will be collected per vehicle for the Federal government (there is no scheduled pickup during these times). This way your vehicle will be waiting for you when you complete your trip on the AuSable River. |

You must arrive ½ hour before your scheduled trip. TRIPS LEAVE ON TIME. All trips must be back by 6pm, plan accordingly. If you choose to stay out after 6pm your entire security deposit will be forfeited. Overnight trips must be back by 4pm or your entire security deposit will be forfeited. |
